Civic health is a measure of how actively citizens engage in their communities. The INCHI is one way that the State of Indiana actively seeks to understand the status of our civic health and educate and inspire citizens, including leaders, to engage in dialogue and actions that improve the well-being of our communities.
The most recent report, the 2023 INCHI, begins a new chapter in the decade of past research undertaken to explore Indiana’s overall civic health. This report examines some of Indiana’s successes and shortcomings during the past few years and continues to use this data to examine future opportunities for improvement in our collective civic health.
